Here be spoilers!
Nov. 19th, 2009 10:28 pmBoy, they weren't kidding around when they titled this episode "Abandon All Hope", were they? D:
I'll be honest here...the final Jo and Ellen scenes made me bawl like baby. Like a baby, I tell you. I've never cried at Supernatural before. You want to know how bad it was? I was actually sobbing out things like, "Show! You can pair off Dean/Jo! I won't complain! Just don't kill Ellen and Jo!" What made things worse, though, was that the Colt didn't even work, so they sort of died for no reason. :(
Man, it sucks to be a woman on this show. Stay alive, Anna! You're the last recurring woman standing!
Well, kinda. There's Meg and Becky, too, but really, who thinks Meg's actually going to make it out of this series alive? As for Becky...here's hoping she stays alive and gets to keep her happy ending, at least.
LOL at Jo's rejection of Dean at Bobby's place. And Ellen doing shots with an angel of the Lord. ::mists up again thinking about them::
Oh, Cas. Why so awesome? Being a super-sekrit spy at the beginning, doing shots with Ellen ("I think something's happening." Hee!), and stomping over Meg to get out of the Holy Flaming Angel Trap...if I didn't already love him so much, I totally would now. Though is he losing his powers? He couldn't exorcise Meg and I'm not sure whether or not that was just because he was in the Holy Flaming Angel Trap. Between this and the Detroit reference, does this mean that we're moving closer to The End becoming the actual future?
I love Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer. Every time he does his thing, I start laughing because he's such a genial force of evil. That's probably not an appropriate reaction to have, is it?
Aw...when Sam asked Dean if he had any last words and Dean had none? I was totally hoping that he'd say that he loved Sam. I'm guessing Sammy was hoping for that, too, judging by the look on his face. :(
When Lucifer mentioned that all the men of Carthage were currently possessed and everyone else was in a mass grave...I think I genuinely made a D: and O_O face. It was made all the more creepy by Pellegrino's almost-cheerful delivery of that news.
Eek, the Horseman of Death has risen. I'm trying to decide whether I want them to show Death, or leave Death as this formless figure of creepiness.
I hope nothing happens to Crowley (not the least because he shares a name with one of my favorite Good Omens characters), especially since Castiel name-dropped him to Meg and Lucifer was asking where Sam and Dean got the Colt. I liked the actor quite a bit and wouldn't mind seeing him come back. The possibility of a split among the demons is also one I like, since we already have dissension among the angels.
::sobs at Bobby burning the photo::
Well, I think that wraps up my distressed blather on the episode. So, in conclusion...ELLLLLLLLLLENNNNNNNN! JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ::sob::
Dammit, I need some happy, heavily-Dean/Castiel-ladden Supernatural AUs to get over this episode. If I'm this upset over Ellen and Jo dying, how do you think I'm going to take it if something happens to Cas?
